SHIP Clinic has created a powerful video project featuring monologues performed by skilled theater artists who embody the individuals to whom people living with HIV (PLHIV) disclose their status. These videos capture the emotional complexity of disclosure, leaving the reactions deliberately open-ended to reflect the uncertainty PLHIV often face.
Now, we invite you to experience what they have experienced—the courage, vulnerability, and raw emotions involved in these deeply personal moments.
Presented at the 2024 National HIV Treatment Hub Conference of the Philippines, participants engaged deeply by selecting videos on a large screen and listening through headphones, gaining an intimate understanding of the challenges and hopes wrapped up in disclosure.
This project aims to foster empathy and reduce stigma by offering a nuanced glimpse into the many feelings surrounding HIV status disclosure.
