WHO IS SHIP CLINIC
SHIP Clinic was founded in 2011 by Dr. Kate Leyritana to address the pressing challenges of accessing long-term HIV care in the Philippines. What began as part of her private medical practice has grown into a community-centered hub for personalized HIV care, driven by innovation and compassion. After completing her fellowship at the Philippine General Hospital Infectious Diseases Program, Dr. Leyritana transformed SHIP Clinic into a pioneering facility dedicated to making HIV healthcare accessible, patient-centered, and stigma-free.
Today, SHIP Clinic is a Department of Health-accredited HIV primary care facility, enabling patients to access PhilHealth’s Outpatient HIV/AIDS Treatment Package in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including testing, consultations, telehealth support, and ART delivery for patients across Metro Manila and beyond. By the end of 2024, SHIP Clinic proudly served over 900 patients, embodying its mission to bridge gaps in HIV care through innovation and community engagement.
SHIP Clinic remains committed to empowering individuals living with HIV by providing comprehensive care that supports their physical, emotional, and social well-being. With a focus on accessibility and dignity, we strive to be a beacon of hope for those navigating their journey with HIV.
